Building on more than a decade of impact, PRIZM Edition XIV presents a dynamic programming calendar that connects artists, collectors, and cultural institutions through conversation, celebration, and acquisition. Works aligned with this year’s theme will be available for acquisition online through the Acquire Works Menu on prizm.art, offering collectors and institutions access to a curated selection of contemporary art that reflects the depth and diversity of the African and African Diaspora experience. 

Prizm is excited to welcome you and our global community back to Miami for our most impactful Fair yet as we reemerge from the past two years stronger and better.

This year, PRIZM invites its visitors, collectors, and arts institutions to reimagine our fair experience. In place of our previous exhibition model, PRIZM will present its artists and exhibitors in twelve luxury suites in the Floridita Tower of the Park Central Hotel Miami Beach, where works by contemporary artists from Africa and its Diaspora can be encountered as they might be lived with. Throughout the week, Prizm will present our holistic program, including four sections: Prizm Preview, Prizm Panels, Prizm Perform, and our exhibitors from national and global locales.

Liberation is labor. It is the work of organizing, remembering, building, and enduring, and it asks a great deal of those who carry it forward. Prizm 2026 asks visitors to consider what sustains that work, and to recognize play as an essential part of the answer. This year’s fair proposes play as the antidote to the toil of the collective journey toward freedom.

Across the African continent and its Diaspora, communities have long found moments of respite inside the most complex struggles. In Trinidad, Carnival grew from the commemorative and defiant festivities of the emancipation era, when masquerade, music, and procession became ways of claiming public space, while in Puerto Rico, bomba turned the drum and the dancer into a conversation.  In New Orleans, second lines and social aid and pleasure clubs made joy a collective responsibility. In Harlem, rent parties turned a night of music and food into a way to keep a home.

This year, PRIZM invites you to encounter contemporary art in a different register. Twelve luxury suites replace the conventional booth, and the work is presented as it might be lived with. In these intimate, residential spaces, artists from Africa and its Diaspora offer works that delight, provoke, and invite lingering. We hope you will look slowly, laugh easily, linger in conversation, and allow yourself the pleasure of being present.  In a season of constant motion, we offer you permission to play, and to take that practice with you.
